This minor is open to non-flight majors. Upon completion, the successful student will hold the FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate for Airplane Single-Engine Land and Instrument rating.
After matriculation at Lewis University, students are required to do all their flight training at Lewis. Students must complete the two upper-division courses at Lewis University.
For all flight minors, including those who have completed FAA Certificates or Ratings prior to matriculation, the minor in Aviation Flight Technology is awarded only to those students who have successfully completed AVTR 33100 Commercial Pilot Ground School, AVTR 33200 Commercial Pilot Flight Lab 1, and AVTR 33300 Commercial Pilot Flight Lab 2 at Lewis University.
Priority for flight block assignments will be given to students majoring in Aviation Flight Technology. Additional blocks will be assigned to students declaring a minor if flight availability exists.
