Bachelor's to Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering / Fast Track Program

The Bachelor’s to Master of Science Fast Track Program option allows qualified Lewis University undergraduate Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering majors to complete the Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering (MSECE) program in just one year. Upon completion of at least 75 credit hours including the courses:

ECEN 21000Logic Design3
ECEN 22000Circuit Analysis 14
MATH 30000Differential Equations3
MATH 22000Applied Probability and Statistics3
MATH 30500Linear Algebra3
CPSC 21000Programming Fundamentals3
PHYS 21500General Physics 23
PHYS 21600General Physics 2 Lab1

and achieving a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0; a student becomes eligible to apply for a Bachelor’s to Master’s Fast Track program option by completing the Fast Track application. Once accepted, the student may take up to twelve (12) graduate hours to satisfy specific course requirements in the Master’s program, and up to nine (9) of those graduate hours can be counted to fulfill electives in the Bachelor’s degree. Students must earn a “B” or better in each graduate course they take towards their MSECE requirements. A student who successfully completes twelve graduate hours as an undergraduate will have remaining 21 credit hours versus 33 credit hours required to complete the MSECE degree. Note that admission to the Fast Track is not an automatic admission to the MSECE program. A student will still need to apply and be accepted to the MSECE program provisionally, contingent on completing the baccalaureate degree.
