Supply Chain Management for Non-Business Majors/Minor
Program: SCMB
Minor Credit Hours: 18
Chicago is at the center of the global supply chain industry. Supply Chain Management (SCM) is a broad-based course of study that encompasses the planning and management of all activities involved in sourcing and procurement, conversion, and all logistics management activities. Importantly, it also includes coordination and collaboration with channel partners, which can be suppliers, intermediaries, third-party service providers and customers. In essence, SCM integrates supply and demand management within and across companies.
The minor in SCM is available to all students who would like to expand their knowledge of a rapidly growing and changing profession. Completion of the 18 credit-hour minor will enhance their qualifications for entry-level positions in supply chain companies.
