Arabic Language and Culture / Minor
Program: ARBC
Minor Credit Hours: 18
Recent and anticipated geopolitical realities make clear the need for more graduates to be familiar with the Middle East, its cultures, and at least one of its languages. This minor provides students with a foundation for pursuing the growing field of Middle Eastern and Arabic Studies and a global awareness applicable to work in the arts, business, education, government, law, and medicine. Heritage speakers must consult the Chair of the Department of World Languages when selecting language courses for this minor. Arabic Language and Culture minors are encouraged to pursue a second minor in Ethnic and Cultural Studies. Consult the Program Director of the Ethnic and Cultural Studies minor. Two upper-division courses and 3 additional credit hours in a World Language minor may not be applied to another minor or any major offered at Lewis University.
